I loved the Advocare challenge. I felt like the first 10 days
were really motivating because I dropped weight right away and started
to feel very focused and determined to succeed! After doing 10 days
without cheats, I felt amazing and just wanted to keep doing better. I
was feeling leaner and more energized than I had before, with minimal
fatigue after workouts(even though I was working out at least 4 times
a week) Since the cleanse I have continued to eat really healthy. I
have adopted better eating habits even though I was a healthy eater
before. The cleanse really helped me to overcome my ‘last 10 pound
plateau’ I had been stuck for so long, and now I feel like I can get
there again! My biggest recommendation would be, be aware of portion
size, and don’t cheat in the first 10 days no matter what!!

Some favorite dinner ideas of mine from the challenge are-

Ground chicken/turkey meatballs…I always try to get about a
pound(16oz) which I make into 16 meatballs…that way I know how many
ounces I’m eating since each meat ball is about 1oz(serving size is
3-4oz) I make mine taste different every time, but my base is always
the meat, oatmeal(instead of breadcrumbs), 1 egg(or egg whites), and
salt and pepper. I like to rough chop fresh herbs like basil and
cilantro and put them inside. Onions and garlic are always good, so
are Ginger, soy, and green onions. Serve on top of spaghetti squash
with low sodium diced tomatoes.

Lettuce wrap tacos-
I season my chicken with Mrs. Dash Chili Lime no Salt seasoning, and
cube it and accompany it with beans, tomatoes, onions, salsa, and
avocado. I buy a head of iceberg lettuce, peel off the outer layers
and serve! I have also done a Thai version on this as well with stir
fried chicken, water chestnuts, carrots, mushrooms, and broccoli- I
cook them in lime juice, soy sauce, garlic, and ginger. I finish it
off with some basil and crushed roasted peanuts on top. Sometimes I
add a scrambled egg to the mixture for extra protein. It’s delicious!
